Youth Basketball League

Youth Basketball League (YBL) returns to the B.R. Ryall YMCA!
During the season, each team will practice once a week and play a game every Saturday.
Junior League (Pre-K/1st grade)
Junior League is for our youngest players who are participating in their first organized basketball league. Instruction and fundamentals are the focus of the Junior League. Rims will be at 8 feet.
Rookie League (1st/2nd grade)
Rookie League is for players who have more experience playing organized basketball or who are at least in first grade. The focus on instruction and fundamentals will continue in the Rookie League, but in a more competitive environment for the developing players. Rims will be at 8 feet, 6 inches for this league.
Varsity League (3rd/4th Grade)
Varsity league has all rules are enforced; this league is perfect for strengthening fundamentals while still allowing kids to have fun. Fouls and violations will be called by trained officials in this new, competitive level. Rims will be at 9 feet.
- 11 week season (January 4 – March 19)
- Practices (Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5:30-6:20 p.m. or 6:30-7:20 p.m.)
- Pre-season (2 total weeks, each team practices two times a week)
- Regular season (9 total weeks of 1 practice and 1 game each)
- Playoffs (1 week of practice and 1 playoff game)
Cost: $90 members/$120 non-members
Each player receives their own jersey at the beginning of the season.
