Position Summary:
This position oversees the development, operations and tracking of all group exercise programming. This role is responsible for all aspects of group exercise programming including the hiring and supervision of group exercise instructors, and scheduling of group exercise classes to meet the needs and demands of Y members.
Essential Functions:
- Recruits, trains, schedules and supervises group exercise staff team.
- Oversees the daily operations of group exercise programming including schedules, offerings (live, virtual, Y360), and class reservations (if needed).
- Actively participates as a group exercise instructor, working with members and evaluating programming. Substitutes as a class instructor as needed.
- Executes strategies, activities and special exercise events to ensure that members engage with one another and connect with the YMCA—maximizing participation and member retention.
- Maintains attendance tracking and reports.
- Works with marketing to promote classes and special events, and maintain effective member communication.
- Executes Les Mills and group exercise launches when new releases are made.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of health, fitness and wellness programming.

Position Summary:
The Kindergarten Enrichment Teacher is responsible for the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team. The Kindergarten Enrichment teacher works with the teaching team to plan and implement lessons, as well as supervise the activities in a curriculum that is in accordance with the developmentally appropriate practices as defined by the state standards, DCFS regulations and the B.R. Ryall YMCA operational policies. This position requires active participation with the other members of the teaching team and parents to assess and address the needs of individual children and ensure that the child’s and family’s needs are supported.
Essential Functions:
- Provides day-to-day supervision to a classroom of children ages 5 and up.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and creative curriculum.

The Payroll Specialist’s primary responsibility is to oversee and facilitate payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately and in accordance with government regulations
Essential Functions:
- Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including hires and terminations, and pay rate changes.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of payroll transactions.
- Reconciles payroll reports for accuracy.
- Identified, investigates and resolves discrepancies in timesheets and payroll records.

Essential Functions:
- Design and implement safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness programs that meet the unique needs and wants of each member utilizing the equipment available.
- Determine any and all physical limitations that a client may have. Trainers should choose exercises that provide the optimum results and use specific routines that clients enjoy. Trainers evaluate the clients’ physical fitness and keep track of their progress.
- Plan and instruct individuals and/or small groups with a personalized approach following YMCA standards and guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of members’ health history, assessments and progress.
- Discuss and promote all other YMCA programs to motivate members to commit to long-term participation in the YMCA.
- Engage with members in the Wellness Center on a regular basis to increase interest and participation in the personal training program.

- Acts professionally in the presence of members, guests and staff utilizing the Y core values.
- Ensures all equipment is properly set-up, taken down, and put away in its designated location prior to and after class. Notifies the Senior Director, Healthy Living of any equipment needing repair.
- Attends staff meetings and approved trainings as required.
- Maintains current NCCA accredited certifications for all formats taught.
- Ensures safe and effective workouts. Responds to and reports, accidents and incidents.

Position Summary: Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Conducts swim classes and lessons.

Position Summary: Provides a safe and positive experience for all members in the Wellness Center. Interacts with members and gives them experience that makes them want to come back again. Be present and approachable if they need any assistance or guidance on the equipment. Initiates repair when the piece of equipment is down, including placing a sign on the machine and notifying your supervisor. Ensures that all fitness areas are clean, organized and prepared for member use.
Essential Functions:
- Performs assigned maintenance duties to keep all pieces of equipment clean and working.
- This position requires you to have basic knowledge of exercise machines and be able to give fitness orientations with adults and children ages 11-15.
- Ensures that all fitness areas are organized and prepared for member use.
