Child Watch is offered for children (8 weeks—8 years) to utilize while parents are working out in the building. A family membership is required to use Child Watch. Our friendly caregivers will interact with and lead age-appropriate activities with the children. For the safety of each child, Child Watch Staff are First Aid, CPR, and AED certified.

Child Watch Guidelines
- Children can stay in Child Watch for a MAXIMUM of 2 hours per day. (Using 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening is not permitted)
- Parent/guardian MUST remain in the building at all times.
- Child Watch is a benefit available with Family and Family Plus memberships types
- Reservations are not required.Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but please note availability may be limited if we reach full capacity.
Our team members cannot change diapers. Changing tables are located in the lower-level locker rooms, bathrooms near the gymnasium and the bathroom in Child Watch. We will locate you if your child needs to be changed. If clothes are wet or soiled, a change of clothes must be put on before the child returns to Child Watch.
Hitting, biting, bullying, and aggressive behavior are not accepted in Child Watch. Should a child have a hard time with these rules, parents will be located and asked to pick up their child. Repeated behavior issues could result in the child taking off time from Child Watch until the behavior passes.
As part of our commitment to your child’s well-being, we allow a child to ‘cry it out’ for a maximum of 10 minutes. If a child continues to cry beyond this time, we will locate a parent and request them to comfort the child before returning to Child Watch.
Socks must be worn at all times.
If your child displays signs of a contagious illness (runny nose, deep cough, diarrhea, rash, elevated temperature, red eyes or eye discharge), please keep them home until symptoms resolve.
Only parents, legal guardians, or authorized grandparents/nannies are permitted to pick up. Please do not send a sibling for this purpose.
During Your Visit
All children must be checked in upon drop off. Let us know your location/activity in the Y, and if your child has any special needs or requirements.
Snacks and water bottles are allowed. All snacks must be peanut/tree nut free. Sharing of snacks is not allowed.
Please label all belongings—water bottle, snacks, teething toys–so that we can properly identify what belongs to your child.
